Standard SFI
Businesses can raise their profile and increase their business opportunities internationally by implementing sustainable forest practices. This process should be based on a reliable, proven framework such as the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) standard. The SFI standard applies to public and private land in Canada and the United States. It includes a set of requirements divided into objectives for land management and fibre supply, thereby making it possible to implement sustainable forest practices that can be measured using performance indicators that can show significant environmental, social and economic impacts.

Certification Offer
Certification is always a desirable guarantee of recognition of one’s efforts. The BNQ offers its clients certification in sustainable forest management on the basis of the SFI standard. This certification is available to companies, agencies, non-profit organizations and universities that own or manage forest land in the United States or Canada. The certification program is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and is recognized outside Canada in terms of quality and equivalency by the international certification organization Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
